I was a professional figure skater back in Finland where I come from and used to train
over twenty hours a week figure skating was my way of life until I got a back
injury. However, now I coach figure skating and do choreographies during summers,
so skating is always going to be a part of my life. Moreover, I was in a dance
class for nine years and did ballet with skating. I have always been passionate
about expressing myself through movement and enjoyed performing and couldnīt live
without skating and dancing. Here in York the dance society is a great opportunity
to continue my passion.
