Hey I’m Laura and I’m the secretary of Dancesoc. I’m a first year student and I’m studying politics. Since being at York I’ve really got involved with dancesoc and have loved every minute of it from the classes to Loughborough dance competition and the many many EPIC socials. Ive been dancing for many years so its great to carry on at Uni and dancing here is far more fun and relaxed than at home, and yet we're constantly improving and learning. Joining dance soc is probably one of the best decisions I’ve made at uni. As Secretary my role is to send out emails to the society and work closely with other members of the committee. Dance society is really good to get involved with as everyone in the society is so welcoming and there are so many different styles to try out whether you’re a beginner or a pro, so come along and try some of our classes.
