I am the Chair of the Society, Hannah Middleton. On behalf of the Dance society, we hope you enjoy the page!

With over eight hundred active members the University of York Dance Society is one of the largest and most popular societies on campus. As a very open and down to earth society we are passionate about dancing and having fun; our sole aim is to provide a good quality service to our members, and to encourage as many people as possible to come along and join in.

We offer weekly lessons in Street, Jazz, Salsa, Breakdance, Tap. We also partake and perform at many local and campus events and are always on the look out for new performers and choreographers. We also hold advanced workshops to cater for the more ambitious and competent members of our society and try to get in as many professional choreographers as possible. We look to cater for all levels and abilities, and provide a fun and good quality service to our members.
